Video #1: How to kill Adamantoise/Adamantortoises efficiently (Without Death)

Note: This strategy can be used BEFORE you get genji's gloves. With high strength and genji's gloves, there is a much faster way to do this.

Why would you farm Adamantoise?

They drop platinum ingots that sell for 150k and the Trapezohedron which is needed to upgrade the tier 2 weapons to their ultimate form.

Characters used:

Fang <---Important
Lightning
Hope (or Vanille)

Paradigm setup:

Your characters should have above ~12k HP for this to work. Fang should have about 2500 strength. You must have a sentinel and two medics to heal in between stomps/quake. You must also have synergists that know protect/shell/bravery/faith.

COM/RAV/RAV
COM/COM/RAV
RAV/RAV/RAV
SEN/MED/MED
SAB/COM/RAV
SEN/SYN/SYN

Equipment:

1. Two +STR items and the two catalogs on Fang for item drops.
2. Growth egg on one of your characters for x2 CP.
3. Anything else. +Phys resist items are pretty good, but not needed.

Strategy:

Strategy 1 w/o summons:

1. Start with SEN/SYN/SYN and buff up.
2. Switch to SEN/MED/MED in between stomps to heal.
3. Once buffed, switch to COM/RAV/RAV and attack one leg.
4. Repeat step 2.
5. Once leg is staggered up to about ~450-500%, use highwind to destroy it.
6. Repeat on other leg.
7. Once the adamantoise falls down, switch Fang to saboteur and debuff it with deprotect and
imperil. (IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
8. Switch to RAV/RAV/RAV to drive the stagger bar up to about 600%.
9. Switch to COM/COM/RAV and kill it.

Strategy 2 w/ summons:

1. Buff up.
2. Summon. This causes the adamantoise to fall down immediately.
3. Debuff adamantoise with deprotect/imperil.
4. Enter gestalt mode and use the ultimate attack.
5. Switch to RAV/RAV/RAV to drive up the stagger bar to about 600%.
6. Switch to COM/COM/RAV and kill it.

I'm not even that far yet, but I'm looking forward to the video. This has to be one of the most annoying FF games I have ever played though. Great battle system I'm just not a big fan so far. I hope versus 13 makes up for the corny story in this one.
